Pavlova on point! Any dessert named for a prima ballerina should be this pretty, right?! It’s great for spring or summer parties. And it’s just so easy. This is a @nytcooking recipe, and as long as you have a kitchen aid and cornstarch, you’re good to go! Whip up 4 egg whites with a pinch of salt until peaks start to form. Add 1 1/4 cups sugar a little at a time until the mixture is stiff and shiny. Sprinkle 2 tsp cornstarch, 1 tsp white wine vinegar and a drop or two of vanilla. Fold in gently! Scoop onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet in the shape you like. Then bake at 300 for about an hour and fifteen minutes. Turn off the oven and let the treats cool all the way before opening the oven door. Top with whatever you like! We did lemon curd and fresh berries. My kind of going green 🌿 A simple Italy-inspired lunch of asparagus soup and buttered parmesan toasts courtesy of @domenicacooks. Her cookbook of Italian soups and stews never disappoints! . We left out the barley to keep this gluten free, but the recipe calls for asparagus, fennel, spring onion, parsley and chicken stock. Simply soften the fennel and onions in oil and butter, then add asparagus (without the tops), parsley and chicken stock.
